Organelles of the Cell

Explore the different parts of the cell that allow our bodies to function so seamlessly! Did you know that there are highways in our cells that transport nutrients and materials for the cell to properly function? We also have IT, manufacturing, and shipping departments in our cells.

This video provides a tour of the functions of eukaryotic organelles, including the nucleus, nucleolus, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, endosomes, lysosome, mitochondria as well as the role of the cytoskeleton (actin and microtubules) in organizing these organelles.
